As most are aware my collection is rather ecclectic. There are a few of which I have 5 or more from the same maker, Becker and Dunhill from out of the country, JT Cooke and Trever Talbert for USA makers.
This next pipe is by far the most whimsical pipe from Trever Talbert that I own, not only does it have a wild demeanor it sports a gorgeous briar bowl with outrageous straight grain on both side and equally outrageous birdseye on the top. The center of the pipe marries Meerschaum to the bowl and lower portion of the pipe, my memory on the bottom wood is failing me but I believe it is Boxwood, if Trever gets on I'm sure he'll set the record straight.
Anyhow like all of his pipes it is a smoker of the highest quality and none that I own will leave my collection. Smoking some Cracker Jack because it tastes so good in this heat and having no problem keeping it smokey.

John, look at the centerline where the briar bowl looks like it goes right to the Boxwood, the centerline is actually a meerschaum cup which mates the two sections, Trever certainly stretches barriers in his designs but I've yet to find one that isn't a first rate smoker.

Orly, a friend made up a batch of tobacco and sent me an empty Folger coffee container full and wouldn't tell me what was in it that I had to review it. I likened it to Cracker Jacks from when I was a kid, a caramel coating on the popcorn and salty goodness on the peanuts, of course the tobacco had some sweetness as it was definitely ribbon Virginia and ST the edges of my palate I picked up peppery notes that lingered and figured it for Perique which I really like so it's a play on words and a fun name because with the heat it has become addictive to smoke because it tastes great, cheers.

That tobacco sounds delicious, and that pipe is amazing! I love flowing abstract forms, and that one is exceptional.
