Well, I Bought An S. Bang

Just had to do it. I’ve been curious about some of the premium Danish pipe makers and just fell in love with a classic billiard with stunning grain. Should be here next week and I’m really looking forward to seeing it in person - I’ve never, ever been disappointed with a pipe I’ve gotten from Dave Neeb and by the pictures alone I was blown away.

I’ve read S. Bang pipes are sublime smoking instruments so I guess it’s going to be an interesting experience.

Anyone here smoked / owned one before?

Not a bad price though someone got a bit lighter happy with it. Reminds me the smooth version of the most recent Weaver I bought.

Your pipe is a beauty, mine I’ve been having many years bought from a man who was thinning his hers,I have a few more Cosmic repaired and dressed up a large that had a crack in the shank. They are wonderful smokers, you will be happy!

I’ve heard so much about how great they smoke and this shape and grain really appealed to me. I think I’ll enjoy it but … the proof is in the smoking. I don’t own any shelf queens.

I’ve gone a bit crazy with PAD this past several weeks but I’m not a bit sorry about it. Glad I could help a brother out, lol.

lovely I normally find straight grains a bore. But that one has some character very nice. I hope it smokes terribly because I am jealous little bastard. Just kidding I hope it smokes better then it looks. Very nice.
