Like I said before. I'm new to the pipe world. Muttonchopper Piper believed said there's 3 different kinds of pipe smokers. 1. One Who loves tobacco and wants to try every blend out there and collects them. 2. One who loves to collects pipes and smoke certain blends. 3. One who love to smoke one pipe and one blend of tobacco. Me on the other hand. I must fall in the new breed category because it's costing me double the money.? why you ask. Because I love pipes and tobaccos ?. That's all I want to do is collect pipes and smoke, collect all tobacco blends out there. But the only small tiny little problem I have from doing that is MONEY holding me back ??. So I've been buying pipes and tobaccos when I can afford it. So I have couple of Savinelli pipes, A Peterson pipe and a Chacom pipe. They all look and smoke great No Problems. Really enjoy them. But then I been hearing about J.M. Boswell pipes about how good they are made and how great they smoke. Then I started to look further into it and found out all great things about them. So I said to myself (I Have To Get Me One Of Those)?. So I called Boswell in Pennsylvania and spoke to a lovely lady there. She was so nice. I told her I want a Billard style pipe. She told me the pipes sell out fast and she believes has nothing right now. So I was disappointed at the time?. So I believe a day or 2 later got an email from her saying she has this one. And when I seen it I was like ? I'll take it. So I got it in about a week ago. What you guys think and thoughts. IMG_55181.jpgIMG_55151.jpgIMG_55171.jpgIMG_55191.jpg

Welcome! I loved your intro!

Smiling because over the years, I’ve been asked what the best tasting scotch is and that answer is easy, the 5th one.

I used to spend a lot of coin tasting whisky or whiskey and with time, you know what I’d found?

Scotch... tastes like scotch.

Bourbon...tastes just like Bourbon and... wait for it,

Tobacco like, Tobacco.

Point is that after a while, maybe a long while, you may come to realize that any quality, consistent blend of tobacco, in the genre of tobacco you love, (for me that’s Burley) can deliver the goods... “if” you’ll spend enough time with it, get to know it and let it shine.

It’s an expensive trip, so I hope you get there one day. Until then, enjoy the journey and welcome to the forum.

Pipes? I can’t help you. I’ve been bitten by PAD and have purchased 3 Pipes this month! I blame this forum!

Thank goodness ? I have a favorite tobacco!

Boswell pipes are an acquired taste and they definitely have their own unique style. Folks who like they usually end up with many. JM told me a few years ago that he bought a lifetime of briar in the late 80's, so you can be guaranteed that the briar has been well aged. (he bought out all the briar from SM Frank when they folded). Enjoy getting to know it!
