Have you guys noticed that we have been getting a higher percentage of women joining the site lately?
I haven't crunched the numbers, but my very rough estimate is that it used to be 1% or less, and now I think it is perhaps 3%. While it's still a small number, a threefold increase is significant. Again, it's just a intuitive estimate, but it has been noticeable.

Smiles demurely, thank you guys, it's so nice to be a part of this forum with it's wonderful spirit of helping, advice and encouragement from all members who're gentlemen through and through.
I am a member of a few forums (4WD'ing, Jeeps and tropical fish)and OMG, words cannot describe the shinnanagans that goes on there, it's unbelievable that people can be so incredibly intolerant of others to the point of being downright rude and outright threatening. I was telling some fish mates I'd found a delightful pipe forum and that in all my reading I'd not come across a single, solitary angry word or bun-fight - they looked incredulous & didn't believe me. Pfft, they will when I've converted them all to the pipe! Instead of all gathering here on w/ends smoking vile cigarettes, it'll be "guess the pipe baccy aroma" competitions - the loser has to clean 1 of my 30 pooey filters hahaha
I'm ever so excited, in about an hour I'll be able to fling my 2 x pouches of Borkum Riff on the compost heap where they belonng, as I'm collecting some REAL baccy from the only Aussie importer I could find. I bought several 10g samples & 2 x 50g packs of something they recommended - don't ask, I don't know - but at least I'll feel like a serious newbie now I had to get something whilst waiting for my order from one of the prized site Sponsors.

We bought some of that Borkum Riff and I swear it smells like fishing tackle. Brought a lot of childhood memories, but I'm not sure I want to smoke it, lol.
As for the lady smokers, it's nice living with one as well as seeing other input from our lady members.

Nope. Neither did I. We are high school sweethearts and I started smoking pipes a few years after we got married. Cyndi hasn't been smoking long, actually.

I know what ya mean! I get jealous of Cyndi being able to smoke throughout the day now, lol. All is good, though. I definitely enjoy my pipe even moreso when I come home and light up to relax.
