Am I the only one who is having chronically late deliveries of tobacco because of the staggering snow conditions crossing the eastern portions of the US? Even USP missed a delivery yesterday.
As much flack as USPS gets I think we all have to have a little patience with them. I work in the industry and deal with USPS frequently. The majority of their transit happens on the road for their cheaper services and with the weather in the North East it is likely causing absolute chaos to their delivery schedules. My normal 40 minute commute took just over 2 hours yesterday, imagine what that would do to deliveries!
Yes. This was last week though. FEDEX was a day late and when I went to FEDEX tracking page to track the shipment, there was a notice displayed on the page stating delivery delays are to be expected because of the weather.
I have noticed some delays out here in the sticks. I get most of my tobacco from PA. now and my last order has been slow about showing up. Weather has been a she devil though!!!! Glad I stay stocked up
Last week, I had to leave my car and walk home when the storm started, and we passed a UPS and a Budweiser truck in the river that had fallen off the bridge. No one was seriously hurt, and I'm sure that it probably didn't have your order on it. Eh, actually, there's no point to this comment, except that it reminded me of that :::shivers:::
No you are not, deliveries for everything has been delayed by weather. Most rely on air transport to a hub & trucked out. If the the plane can't fly...Many delays more important than Baccy have been delayed.
Purple that's cause your delivery was made by Canada Post and us Canadians can handle winter a little better. I mean the dog sleds go through any weather right?
Nope, I run a direct marketing firm in Toronto so I work extremely closely with Canada Post and USPS on behalf of our customers. Fortunately not a letter carrier right now.
I have another Wiley on the way from SP and it spent a day in Nashville due to "adverse weather conditions". It's back enroute and still scheduled for on time delivery tomorrow. Not sure how that's going to happen but I'll be happy if it does.
The Ups Hub in Louisville has been having problems due to weather conditions, but hopefully all things will be delivered. I understand that some of the traffic out of New Jersey has had troubles. I guess that is why my PC 2 day is finally arriving today. Looking forward to that when I get home. I guess it just shows us we are wise in keeping a good store of that sweet weed on hand. Winter will soon be gone and spring will be here and that darn Ground Hog will pop his head out and will meet Mr. 7.62*54R. Happy smokes to you!
I can't speak for tobacco shipments, but I have a number of Amazon orders that should have arrived yesterday. . . and didn't. But I'm in Michigan, and the days when it's not blowing snow with temps in the single digits are the odd ones this winter.
