I haven't smoked any yet...These slices are a full 2" x 8"...they're 2" longer than a quart jar. The photo is on a full size dinner plate.

Duane one of those flakes is headed your way. I haven't tried any yet. I've been smoking straight Virginia so far today, and next is going to be McClelland 2035 Dark Navy Flake.

+1 cobguy. I ordered a few of Watch City's offerings a few weeks ago and the Slices was one of them, but have not gotten around to giving them a try. I may have to rectify that the next couple of days. Those look great and I am partial to burleys. Thanks for posting this

Looks delicious. I need to start my quest into the Watch City selection, they appear to have a very nice selection of blends.

I'm lucky to have Watch City as my local B&M. I haven't tried Slices, but they have a huge variety of house blends and they're really worth your time.

Well I learned today that Watch City Cigar is pretty well known at tobaccoreviews.com The description of WC Slices says it has Virginia and Kentucky in the recipe also. Here I was, thinking I found something new in an all Burley flake.

How do ya like it? That photo you posted has definitely peaked my interest although I'm not a huge Burley fan, Solani's Aged Burley Flake has shined a new light on what a good Burley blend can be.

I love the stuff. Watch City blends have long flown under the radar. Here's my review of the Slices:
The Virginia is grassy sweet, and mainly acts as the base for the burleys, being more of a minor ingredient. The dark fired Kentucky is spicy, earthy sweet and is obvious in every puff without grabbing your tongue. The various burleys are very earthy, a little nutty, very slightly sharp, with a nice molasses and cocoa sweetness, and constantly stand out as the lead component. I think a light cocoa topping is present, too. It reminds me of the cocoa in H&H Classic Burley Kake. Light on nicotine. This is a thick broken crumble cake that breaks apart very easily, but needs to be worked with a little. If you are smoking it in a narrow chamber pipe, the pieces ought to be smaller than if you use a wide bowl, or you’ll have trouble keeping it lit. I recommend a wide bowl to save yourself the trouble, and you’ll get more of the range of flavors easier, too. Burns very slow, requires relights, but has a rich, deep burley taste with a little creaminess, and no bite. Can easily be an all day smoke. The flavor remains consistent to the very end. It’s hard to smoke it to the last ember, so you may have to stir up the tobacco when you approach the bottom to get it all smoked, which is another reason to use a wide bowl.
