Can i say that without being booted outta here? I was so excited about putting in an order for some Hobbit Weed and I got an email from Dave over at Tweskbury stating that they cant sell tobacco in WA state and 4 others! I guess that means I can't order any tobacco online. Why would they pass such a ridiculous law?
Edit: Moved to Tobacco Legislation, L.

Sorry guys.

I had to delete a couple of posts because they discussed methods of circumventing the law.

I'm not going to close this thread.

I think is one worthy of discussing in the context of "Tobacco Legislation".

Please don't let it degenerate into a political discussion.

Just returning to this thread since posting it and i am still mad. Please everyone, i didn't start this to circumvent anything, I am just ranting because the new love of my life is now severely limited. Our citizens can smoke dope until the cows come home but we cant buy a wonderful product online. I am an eternal optimist. Maybe the doppers will want to buy online and rally to change the law and sweep in the ability? After all, they were able to rally to get the dopper laws passed.
I was a small biz owner (I owned a Kickboxing & Pilates Studio) and WA state went out of their way to make it hard on small biz. I admit i never understood this (or paid attention) until I kept having to write big check after big check to the state. The only redeeming law in WA state that is really good (so far) are the gun laws. So far they've left us alone on that.

I'm down here in Cowlitz county and have been singing the same rant for a while now! Praise one leaf and demonize the other! It don't make sense!

Mrgunnar- hope you're headed somewhere sunny. We're from Az originally. Haven't gotten used to the soggy conditions here yet. Jealous of anyone who gets a chance to escape.

Yep! I'm actually going to be in San Diego for pretty much all of 2013 then it will be off to join the fleet. (Marine Corps)

I live in Eastern WA, Whitman county we have had an amazingly mild winter still cold but mild so far. Only snowed once. It almost feels like the west side except for the cold.

I feel bad you can't order tobacco online, but regarding the legalization of "dope" as you called it...It's been legal for medicinal purposes in many states for over a decade. I understand the irony, but you can't blame a progressive law for a completely different oppressive one. Just my two cents and I completely get crappy laws (I live in California, our gun laws suck!)

TJ - I'm not sure me or anyone else here has blamed the doper law for the Tobacco law. In fact, the tobacco law has been in place far longer than our new law. I am pointing out the hypocrisy of the laws in our state. The truth of the matter is that more people are interested in smoking dope (not medicinal) than pipe smoking. So those well funded individuals mobilized and changed the law. More power to them. The bottom line here is that the anti-tobacco law was done for purely political reasons, not because of some generic public health hazard.

mrgunnar - i got some range time in yesterday too. I picked up an MP 15-22 which is a .22 rifle on an AR-15 platform and its amazing fun to shoot. I havent shot a silenced weapon yet but I;d love to. Speaking of stupid WA State laws. Until recently, you used to be able to buy a silencer but not legally shoot it in the state. Thankfully that has finally changed.
What .22 did you shot? Walther P22?

I think you can lay the blame for this at the feet of Gov. Gregoire. She was the lead AG on the tobacco co. lawsuit years ago that raped them of billions. She's a nazi she devil for sure.

Yup, I live 4 miles from the Washington border in North Idaho. Washington has some of the most ridiculous laws with regard to tobacco but it is perfectly OK to roll a joint. I was traveling to Snoqualmie to visit my daughter and stopped at a pipe shop in Ellensberg. I found a handful of briars with the rest of the store full of bongs...no kidding. This kind of hypocrisy should pave the way for a future lawsuit against the state by tobacco smokers.
