My buddy sent me this pic today. He is a pipe smoker, said his wife brought it home from Home Goods for $5. Said it smells like a fruity tobacco. Thought it was worth a share, very interesting in a world of anti-smoking that someone is trying to ressurect the smell Grandpa's pipe on the back porch.

I've seen those too. I was going to get one, but my wife instead bought one of those plug in/wall mounted melting pots with a light bulb in it. She loaded it with some "weathered leather" scented wax. It smells great together when I smoke my pipe. Plus no fire to worry about.

That's a neat find! You could send this ahead to your folks or in-laws to prep them for your arrival. :)

There's a blend-your-own-candle place here in town, one of their scents is pipe tobacco. Smells very sweet/aro, but that's what most folks would be looking for in such a candle.
You can get the aromatic oil online - there was someone around these parts that had started making candles out of empty 'baccy tins, I disremember who it was...

In a wacky sort of way, it's a tribute to pipe smokers and pipe smoking. Or folks can just invite one of us over

and take their chances on what blend we're burning at the moment. I'll wear some St. John's Bay Rum and smoke

Queen Anne's Revenge, if that will help.

I like this idea of Voorhees.

"I wonder if you could infuse 91% alcohol with tobacco, and after filtering it, use it in a Lampe Berger? Anyone tried that"
Hmmm..this is an interesting idea. I was wanting to pick up Lampe Berger. If I get it I'll try it.

In the sticks in Mississippi
I kind of forgot about this post. I did try the tobacco scented alcohol for the Lampe Berger, and it wasn't that great an idea. I took some old Prince Albert tobacco that I've had for awhile and never seem to smoke anymore, and mixed about 1/2 oz of it with about 8 oz of 91% alcohol and let it set for about 4 days, shaking it up a few times. The alcohol got a nice light brown color, so I dumped it in a fine mesh strainer to get the tobacco out. Then I strained it through a coffee filter to get the fine sediment out. I filled my lamp up about halfway and put a wick in that had been soaking in plain alcohol. It seemed to light and burn fine, but the smell wasn't all that great. It wasn't bad, just not a tobacco smell as much as a something is burning smell. The problem is, that it clogged my wick stone up and I had to soak it for quite a while to clean it out.
Maybe some of you might have better luck with this idea. Maybe using an aro tobacco might have been the problem, but I don't think Prince Albert is that heavily topped or cased. If I get bored I might try a little tobacco that is more natural.
