Vegas Baby!!!
Hell yeah that’s click bait!!

I was peacefully smoking my two No Falts and trying to mind my own business, when I posted in the “Show Us Your Unusual Pipes” thread. After I posted pictures of my No Falt pipes, Duane - Chasingembers, posts that Wally Frank also made Storm King pipes that looked, from the exterior, just like my No Falts.

The hunt for a Storm King was on!!

Here’s the link for the original No Falt post.

I found a Storm King and waited for it to arrive.

The following pictures are the similarities and differences that took place in manufacturing during the 20-30 year span of time between the two pipes.

My understanding is the No Falt dates to the 20’s and 30’s while the Storm King dates to the 50’s and 60’s.

Here are the pictures. I absolutely favor the No Falts and will search for more. I don’t like the Storm King and its a one and done.

I applaud your dedication to winkling out the obscurities and lesser known bdw
I'm pretty much a "mainstream" pipe guy, so thank you for the education in innovative pipes and their features.
Apropos my interest in wine - I may drink "mainstream" wine 99.9% of times but I have a fascination for wines that don't fit the mould.

I had no idea that even one of those type pipes existed.

One of the new craft makers could sell out a run of those in no time, I’d think.

Maybe one or two already have.

I have a cheap briar with a hinged metal lid, and one of those big German hunter’s pipes with a lid.

But those were made for the rugged hunter or fisherman, or other outdoorsmen.

Not so sure on that sort selling big. I've tried a number of odd, er innovative styles and found they are interesting, but not for me to smoke!
