Wallander Fans?

Any fans of the BBC Wallander series? I can't get enough of Kenneth Branaugh. For those who love mysteries that are cerebral.

To be sure the TV productions starring Kenneth Branagh are superlative--dark, mysterious, frightening. Wall lander is not the tall, handsome, super-hero detective we've all come to expect. He drinks too much, he smokes too much, he eats too much, and his personal relationships are strictly abysmal. However he has a deep reverence for the law and protection of society, and this is what makes him such a great detective. For even more, read the books by Swedish author Henning Mankel to get Walander at his best and fullest.
For other great detective yarns, read the series by Louise Penny starting with "Still Life," and the Harry Bosch series by Michael Connelly.

Very good series; but then again, so are most of the BBC productions. They just seem to get things right.

I've been a fan since the first episode. PM me with your email address and I'll send you his ringtone. Every once in a while my phone goes off and somebody recognizes it. Because of that there are more fans than I thought.

I've never watched the series, but Kenneth Branaugh is an excellent actor! I've enjoyed watching the Shakespearian movies he's starred in, as well as other movies.
