I remember the day it happened. Some folks thought it was impossible so it must have been faked.Of course we know now that it really did.Today some youngsters ask me what life was like when this and other historical events that they've only read about happened.I tell them that when I was a kid my grandfather told me of like before electricity and cars.People go about their daily lives trying to cope with the changes that effect them.I guess it's always been that way. These kids treat me like they think I'm a walking history book.I wish I was really as smart as I try to make them think I am.The amazing thing about all of this to me is when I look back at things that have happened in my life time I can't believe how many years have rushed by since they did.I know I'm 70 years old.I just have a hard believing I got here so fast.

I remember when we used to say, "Don't trust anyone over 30 years old."
I guess I haven't been trustworthy for a long time. :)

I am only 52 (almost) but I share your pain, Puffy. I remember sitting in front of the old B&W 19 inch (Big TV for my neighborhood) and watching the grainy, static filled moment when Neil Armstrong stepped out of the LEM and onto the surface of the moon. I was too young to know what Vietnam was, or much of anything else that was going on at the time, but I wanted to be Neil Armstrong that day. Think I will smoke a bowl for Neil tonight, a great Amercian Hero.

You guys think the moon is real? Everyone knows the government uses a giant projector and a hologram of a swiss cheese wheel to create an illusion.
