Since Vogons produce the third worst poetry in the universe then might a Vogons be the worst pipe maker?

I thought Vogans lived in Togo in the town of Vogan. Or are you referring to the Welsh family? Some great poetry and literature comes out of Wales.
Vogan is a surname often found in Ireland so I suspect not a few of them smoked pipes. Never heard of them as pipe makers though.
I bet you are referring to the Vogons in the "Dr. No" series, aren't you? Igotchanow. Sorry, can't help you.

Pipe smoking is about quiet enjoyment. Pretty much the inverse of Vogan's existence.
As for the The Most Overrated Pipe Maker In The Universe thread, there is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
There is another theory, which states that this has already happened.

I appears as though this thread, while not volatile as "Overrated . . . ", is quite capable of tottering along on its own. As I always say, "Up the Vogons!"
