I just wanted to let you guys know that I will be out of town until November 8. So, communication will be slower than normal, and on west coast time.
Lawrence has the key to the penthouse. (He says he is going to water my one plant and has no interest in the tobacco stash.)
This will be my 18th trip to Vegas. It's a good thing I still love Las Vegas.
As you may recall, I am also running a cigar e-zine now as well as this site.
This weekend I am at Cigar Aficionado's Big Smoke and the weekend after I am at the West Coast Pipe Show - both in Vegas.

I love Vegas, been here for almost ten years now. Fun place. There's always something happening. A comedian or band coming to town and the shows at the casinos. Lots of good places to eat too. I'll let you in on a little locals secret. If you get a chance to hangout off the strip in Vegas and love Mexican food then head out to Frank and Fina's Cocina. Basically you hop on the 215 North and get off at the Flamingo Rd. exit (it's probably about a 20 minute ride tops from the strip depending on the time of day) Turn left at the exit and another left at the second light right after the overpass (the first light is to re-enter the 215 going South)and then right into the plaza. You'll see the writing on the wall, literally, cause Frank and Fina's is the first building on the corner of the turn in. Amazing food at a great price. Plus they have some kick ass mixed drinks too.

I have never been to Vegas, but the casinos on the Mississippi Gulf Coast ere great. You can't beat the seafood either. AND there is a fantastic pipe shop called the Epitome in the Edgewater shopping mall on the beach.

wow must be hard being you. this is all part of your job right?
Ha ha ha! It's harder than it looks. I'm a professional, so I make it look easy.
It pays the bills, so I guess you could call it a "job", except, I own the company and I'm my own boss.
The only problem with that, is my boss is a slave driver.

such a slave driver. forcing you to go to a cigar show and be surrounded by women. and then he has the nerve to make you go to a pipe show on top of that
LOL - as a business owner myself, what this is missing is the endless hours spent hunched over a keyboard, cranking out work 23 hours a day, seven days a week - and if Kevin's work is anything like mine, he knows that the veritable mountain of work that will await his return is next to insurmountable. It's a real Mexican Stand-off; small company CEO gets the perks, but also does all the work.

Of course, the biggest perk is not having to listen to some middle-management type drone on about things he doesn't understand for hours on end.
