This one had a nice sticker price so I couldn't resist buying it. It will be my first freehand. This Masterson pipe has been stripped then re-finished with Tripoli polish then buffed and waxed then buffed again according to the seller. The stem was sanded then polished and waxed. All I know about Masterson Pipes is they were a product of the old Shalom Pipe Co in Israel. Does anyone have experience with this brand? Good smokers? These images were the originals. Can't wait till I receive the pipe in the mail.

Yep I've got an Oom Paul. It smokes great, the briar is a really good quality, normally with nice grains. I don't get why they carve those lines in the bowl, mine has that too, I might eventually sand it smooth, but good pipes all around. Mine has a hand cut stem too. I would buy another.

Very nice pipe shaintiques. I'd like to find a Oom Paul like yours. I agree about the lines and I'm with you on maybe someday sanding it smooth.

Nice job on that. I have one of those freehands around here somewhere. If I remember correctly I bought it at Wally Franks in Paramus, NJ in the ealry 1970's. The search begins.
