I to am sorry for jumping all over this. I was in a grumpy mood and I should not have reacted to the post the way I did. I also should not have let my mood spill over into the forums. We all have companies we hate I know. Please accept my apologies for being a grumpy bear.

Chris, if that had happened on one of my sons accounts then I would have thought they tried to sneak something past me. But it happened on mine and my oldest daughter who would never try something like that, she knows all she has to do is ask me.
When I talked to the rep he admitted these third party companies routinely do this and that the customer ( me ) doesn't have to do anything to get charged. I have never ordered a service like Jamster for my phone since I only have a texting phone and am not online with a PDA. He said all the third party company has to do is send a text and if I just ignore it they charge my account. Sorry but the facts are indisputable and therefore not slanderous.

They're all crooks in my book. If it ain't a mom and pops shop, I'd just assume spend my money elsewhere. The trouble is today you can't. And that's why they're crooks. Because all the choices suck. If I could I'd live off the grid and use smoke signals instead of cell phones.

Big + 1. I hate cell phones. On top of being ripped off you get the added bonus of a brain tumor if you hold one of those things to your head too long and too often.
I have one essentially just for emergencies or when it’s occasionally necessary, but it’s prepaid...I never want to have a contract with one of those companies again.

@grumpy bear: Hey, We're good. If I understand it correctly, you can't call something slander if it's true. I just shared me personal story about Verizon because I had one. I'm not saying they're any worse or better than any telecom business; after all, I was seeing GTE and Bell Atlantic, technically not yet Verizon.
Getting machines invented in the fifties talking to machines invented last week is hard, and you can't ever turn off the machine to work on it. That said, I saw a lot of companies in my consulting days, and the culture of Verizon is catch-as-catch-can. If I had the power, I could improve them.

All cell co SUCK anymore,just changed from 1 to another and got a bill for 3 minutes of use before the number got ported to new phone $159.63 for 3 freaking minutes WTF.
