That Dark Fired Kentucky DFK is good stuff. I've been smoking it straight, layered with Golden Days of Yore. The C&D DFK is different than Gawith twists with Dark Fired Kentucky-Africa-or something. Both provide excellent smoke.

I happen to enjoy Burleys like Pegasus and Old Joe Krantz. For me these are different than the strong dark fired and euro/imperial blends I think you are talking about. Not strange at all that you like one, but not the other.

Then there is Semois - a Burley of a different stripe. I very much enjoy smoking that. Different than anything I mentioned above.

That’s what I’m talking about.
I love ripping through a pouch of 5Bros (especially when there’s a bunch of bird’s eyes in it), I wish I enjoyed the strong American burleys too.
