A few months ago I discovered what a huge choice US pipe smokers have. So I thought I'd try some. Postage to UK is huge but it is still cheaper than the UK price.
My usual brands are:- Erinmore, UV Flake, Marlin Flake, Hal o the Wynd, St.Bruno Flake; GH Aromatic Brown Flake.
So I have so far tried these and must confess none have really impressed apart for Formers Private Flake & Burley Flake no.3
Regents Flake
Stonehenge
Maple Street
Founders Flake
Cumberland
Haddos Delight
Burley Flake 5

I still have a long list a brands to try, but I wonder if you good folk could offer suggestions based on what I like. I like some strength but draw the line at say 1750 flake. I know it's a matter of taste but often reviews give strength as strong and I fail to get it.
Thanks to all the welcome replies and I look forward to some interesting choices.

IO think
I'm not sure. Covid brain fog is bad today...
I had to look it up...
"After the slight reshuffle of STG's American distribution system back in 2012, Villiger-Stokkebye / Villiger Cigars North America were left without a bulk tobacco offering. In response, they teamed up with Mac Baren to create Newminster, a new brand with a full assortment of blends and styles, including English Luxus"

So, a combination of Villiger and MacBaren.

I see, so G.L.Pease Stonehenge is manufactured by GH?
It is, however I think its mostly available in the US Market I don't see it for sale on too many UK/EU websites. I saw synjenco has it but they have a lot of things.

Not sure why Europeans value C&D so highly I think a lot of there stuff is mediocre and or over rated. I guess its just because you don't have access to it? My B&M carries a ton of great tobacco and not one tin of it is C&D.

All to taste. Most of my cellar and favorites come from the house of C&D. Most UK/EU blends Iv purchased have been traded away, powered through to get rid of or just outright put into the trash.

I keep a few Mac Baren blends on hand but other than I don’t see purchasing anymore uk/eu blends.

Ummmm... either some people need some geography lessons, or maybe they didn't understand the question.
