Unknown Dunhill Stamping

Edited because I was thinking of wrong pipe; D'oh! Try again:

One of my favorite pipes is a '90s Dunhill Cumberland. The farthest right stamp is "11/10", with the 11 over a line then 10 below the line. This is not the date code which is where it belongs abutting the d in England.



Anyone know what this indicates? Thanks.

It's the eleventh pipe is a series of ten. They were made for the members of Spinal Tap.

It's hexadecimal for the letter "E", and was custom ordered as a gift by the office friends of a computer programmer named Edward Everett Elijah Ellingsworth Easton III, who knew him (unsurprisingly) simply as E.

Thanks, and they did stamp pipes like that, but they still appeared next to the D and lower number first.

Not surprising nobody knows, I guess --not even georged who I assumed knew everything--since arduous Googling turned up nothing.
