[Note: This is not a commercial post and I am in no way affiliated with any products mentioned or companies making them. I'm just sharing something I found useful as a pipe smoker with an active lifestyle.]

Ever since I started pipe smoking the one thing that's always bugged me was that unless I wanted to just smoke a Savinelli Tortuga there wasn't really a way to just load a bowl then toss my pipe in a pouch or in my pocket and take it with me to smoke later, or stop smoking partway through and put my pipe back in my pocket or pouch to finish later without the unsmoked tobacco, ash, and dottle spilling out everywhere. I'm a dog walker for work and don't often have the time to smoke a whole bowl start to finish while I'm out on a walk, and trying to load a bowl from a tobacco pouch mid-walk is just plain cumbersome.

So, I spent about 6 months looking around for a solution and finally stumbled on something pretty nifty that ended up working perfectly! I won't share a link to where they're sold since commerical posts aren't allowed here, I just wanted to share something I found really useful and helpful for pipe smokers with active lifestyles, but they're called Save-A-Bowls and are basically just a little stretchy silicone rubber band sort of thing with a round bowl cover built in. I have a feeling they weren't originally crafted with briar pipes in mind, but they've worked quite well on all my pipes from my smallest Peterson Junior Rusticated Billiard and Dr Grabow Lark all the way up to the big bowls on my Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentleman and Savinelli Arcobaleno 606 KS.

Neat stuff!puffy

I just put wind cap on. Cheap, may be useful in wind so, I've got them in the glove box, camera kit bag and other handy places. So, no need to purchase a single purpose item. Still, I do admire your inventiveness. "Men in sheds" are to be admired.
I also find that wind caps are sufficient for my needs but I can see how these would be helpful for chambers that are too narrow or too wide.

I can think of few things that can do the job at no cost. Wine cork, comes to my mind. Smaller diameter chamber might work with whiskey bottle cork. And with few more coins, cork stopper at a hardware store.
