Another album that leads to flashbacks is In The Court Of The Crimson King.

The album reminds me of Ummagumma in its surreal otherworldly sounds.

Both albums are at various times soothing and vicious, calming or violent.

A veritable sensory feast.

That puts me in mind of Paranoid by Black Sabbath. After that I need to mellow out with a bourbon, pipe, and some Moody Blues In Search of the Lost Chord.

For those of you have never heard or seen the album Ummagumma, here's a taste of

What we called "SSOSFAGTIACAGWAP".
Several Species Of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together In A Cave And Grooving With A Pict.

(UncleArthur the story starts about the 3:25 mark. You might actually like this.)

I have actually watched the movie "La Valee'", which has the soundtrack featuring "Obscured By Clouds". A

plot synopsis is readily available on the internet, but suffice it to say it is some hippy tripe, in French, although the scenery is good. The Pink Floyd music is in fragments only. You can find it on Netflix, although you have to get the DVD, it isn't on instant queue.
I also have "More" on my list, and I believe it is about heroin addiction.
I once heard "Sacucerful of Secrets" or "astronomy DOmine" (Can't recall which) as part of the background music on a chop-socky on Saturday Kung Fu theater.

"The Machine" a PF cover group does a great job with some of the songs from the "More" soundtrack. They're playing in NY next week, I'm there for work, so I'll catch their free, outdoor show.
Btw, I was listening to "Meddle" last night, not Obscured by Clouds!. So, I dialed up Obscured in the car today driving from MD to NY. Wot's-Uh-The-Deal!
