I'm missing a couple disks and go to a pain clinic to get shots in my spine. I feel for ya and all I can say is take it easy, smoke, and don't think about tomorrow.

Bad backs suck! I had 2 surgeries in 2009 and am still in pain too. Normally I try to push through it, but there are times for the Percocet or Neurotin.

I feel for you. No surgeries here, but I have three compressed disks on top of each other in my low back. I will forget all about it for months, then do something wrong and become damn near crippled for a few days or weeks.

Hope the right pills come along for you

Mine was work related. I've been off work for three years now because of it, One whole year finding a job with no luck.
I have a permanent 20 pound weight limit that is not allowing me to do the things that I know how to do, and no one wants to hire some one who has never done other things before. No experience, no hire kind of thing I'm always hearing.
Good or bad, I will soon know for sure where my life is headed. Within a month or so.

For me, I was climbing into the cargo area of a FedEx box truck (dock height cargo deck) and the handle on the side of the truck pulled loose. I landed straight down on my low back on a concrete parking lot.

I basically got screwed in the deal, a few months of therapy and a piss-ant settlement check for a lifetime of screwed up disks. At least it doesnt hurt all the time, I feel for you guys that have to live with it daily. Back pain sucks.

Mine was a fall in Basic Training in '92 and continued aggravation of forced road marches and the like for the next 10 years. I ended up with a fusion at my L5/S10 and the inability to do a lot of the things I used to do i.e golf, skiing, running, sleeping.....
