Back from Vegas with a little cash in the wallet (or the wife's wallet, to be accurate). Won a couple of ebay auction this afternoon. The first is an unsmoked Bruce Weaver (what is this? A Rhodesian I guess?) and the second is an Emil Chonowitsch estate that looks in nice shape.

'Love the Bruce Weaver. Unlike many pipes with that general shape, this one seems to have some depth

to the bowl. The other pipe has some fetching grain, nicely shaped too.

The blast on the Rhodesian is insanely great, and the hex shank is about as unique as I've seen on a blast. I love the way

the planes of the shank transition into the curvature of the bowl. Very nicely accomplished.
The straight and bird's eye grain on the Chono is fantastic too; and it has a jutting "chin" that is sort of a nod to Dunhill.

Both killer pipes. Congrats!

peck, I had that Weaver in my watch list, if I had not gotten my new Rad this week I probably would have gone after that one. It is gorgeous, I love everything about it. I am sure it will smoke great.
The Emil is also awesome, love the shape, the birdseye and incredible grain. I definitely need to hear a detailed review of that pipe. By the way, I still have not seen a review of that Bang you bought, let's have it. Congrats on both pipes buddy, well done.

Since I am a fanatic for blasts that Weaver is a dream, but birdseye is a close second to blasts so the Emil Chonowitsch gets a big thumbs up as well, nice.
