I used to be a huge fan of two of these blends, one is called Deacons Downfall which is a English blend that contains Latakia, Black Cavendish, dark stoved Virginia's,orientals and Perique. and the other is Redwood which is a vaper consisting of Black Cavendish,Virginia and Perique. When I was an English smoker DD was in my top 3, it was just wonderful, creamy, smoky, peppery, sweet, very complex. Redwood was one of my favorite vapors and honestly I would still be smoking it if it were not for my problem with Red Virginia's. It is spicy, sweet, very smooth and always satisfied.
I have noticed that no one mentions blends from Two Friends which is a collaboration of Craig Tarler & Gregory Pease who own C&D and GL Pease companies. Both blends always came ready to smoke with no additional drying time needed which I loved. They also came in these 4oz bags that were very reasonably priced. If anyone is looking for something different, I highly recommend both of these.

Cool. I have had my eye on that blend for a minute, but didn't know how it was. Thanks for the info. Will have to look into it! :puffy:

The Two Friends line is excellent, IMO, and I too am surprised that it doesn't generate more discussion. If nothing else, they are often truly unique blends -- Tarler and Pease were clearly trying to think outside the box here. Redwood is an absolutely classic Va/Per, and the addition of cavendish is nothing short of inspired. Bed and Breakfast is one of the finest light English blends on the market, and is certainly one of the most unique. Valley Crucis is also a very, very different type of English blend (flavored with ginger). Heck, they're just about all good, with the caveat that I really didn't enjoy their Irish Cream aromatic at all.

I'm surprised English Chocolate hasn't been mentioned... It is such a great aromatic/latakia blend. So good. I just had to go to my cellar and crack the mason jar to sniff it. It's such a great Autumn smoke when it's cool outside but not cold. The latakia keeps the blend interesting while the chocolate is one of those aromatics which tastes like it smells.

English Chocolate is in my daily rotation. Valle Cruces is for when I fell like something completely different from my usual English style blends. I have not tried Deacon's Downfall but I'm due to place a C&D order soon so I'll have to include that. Thanks, cigarmaster.

I bought an 8 oz tin of English Chocolate last year at the Columbus Pipe Show and it is a very well done blend. I want to try Redwood and Valle Crucis.

My favorite Two Friends Blend (GL Pease and Craig Tarler of C&D) is Two Friends Heritage. It was the late Craig Tarler's go-to blend. I always have it on hand and smoke it regularly along with the three blends in my Captain Bob's Series. I highly recommend it if you like a great Va Medley that tastes like a Flake in a traditional cut. If you order it direct from C&D, please tell them that Captain Bob recommended Two Friends Heritage. They will appreciate it as it was Craig's favorite all-time smoke! We all miss Craig very much. This is one great blend for the non-aromatic lover. At the same time, it does have a pleasing room note. But, I would never classify it as an aromatic blend.

Glad to see there are some fans for this great line of blends. I think that anyone looking to try some new stuff, they should consider some Two Friends. What I always appreciated was the consistency from batch to batch and if memory serves they came ready to smoke.
