Pipemaker, Philip Trypsis, was originally from Greece where he learned to make pipes from his father and grandfather. He moved to Canada and began making pipes there.
This Trypsis Poker/Sitter is part smooth and part rusticated although not rusticated in the normal way it appears a power tool of some sort was used, a black acrylic accent leads to an amber colored stem. Keeping it smokey with some Villager 1888 After Dinner flakes.

Too cool. 'Love the mixed finish and the bright stem, plus the sitter feature and the wide-walled bowl. A Forums member had regular offerings of Trypsis pipes for a while, although none of them were quite as interesting as this one. They looked well-crafted and nicely designed.

That's a great looking Trypis pipe.

I collect Canadian pipe makers but only have one Trypis and it's nowhere near as nice as yours.

Anyone remember who the Trypsis selling Forums member was? He must have sold three or four Trypsis pipes ever week or two, for months. He apparently had a ready supply at wholesale prices, or something. Clearly they weren't pipes he'd bought to smoke.
