Saw this carver and thought i'd give one a try. Really liked the design and style of this hammer. Opening it up today i was pleasantly surprised to find the bottom part of the bowl is completely solid meerschaum. The bowl does not extend past the shank, so it's nice and hefty. Great hand feel and good employment of carving technique. Dickered on the price, too, so i couldn't pass it up!
