I recently picked up an inexpensive churchwarden that I very much enjoy. The only issue that I have run into is how to go about transporting this rather long, slender and seemingly fragile pipe. Suggestions? Is there a company that is known to make decent leather goods, long enough for a 10.5 inch churchwarden? Searches on some of the site sponsor's webpages have not turned up anything.
Merry Christmas,

Hi Bulldog. I have 14 CW's and when traveling I have a pair of Argyle socks, one inside the other for any one that I am going to smoke. I break it down and slip the bowl in first fold up and them the stem. Never had one break. I have even put them in a coat pocket this way when just out for the day.

pipeinhand - Argyle socks, great idea, It never occurred to me use a sock. Thank you, I am planning a winter trip into the woods, a sort of mini vacation, and very much wanted to bring my CW; however I was worried about the risk to the pipe while in transit.
I only recently purchased a CW and it is rapidly becoming one of my favorite pipes. Thanks again.
