A while back in a different thread we were discussing cavaliers. I mentioned that I had a wonderful Tonnie Nielsen cavalier and people asked to see some pics. I suck as a photographer, particularly when using a phone as a camera but her you go.
The first picture just shows the pipe in repose. The pipe is only about six inches long and you can run a pipe cleaner through it without a problem. The incredible thing from an engineering point of view is that When Tonni drill through the stem to create the drain he nicked the bottom of the bowl to create the draft hole.

That's a beautiful pipe. Never seen anything quite like it.

I'm afraid I don't follow this.
Anyhow, great looking pipe you've got there.

If i read this right, he means that Tonni didnt drill the draft hole thru, he created it by drilling from the drain side, past the drain, through the bowl and perfectly nicking the shank side of the bowl and created the draft.

That's correct. I don't know which end he start at, but he drilled from the stem end of the shank straight through to the drain end (or vice versa). In the process of this he nicked the bottom of the bowl. Therefore, he did not have to drill a hole from the bowl to intersect with this other hole to create a draft hole. Every other cavalier I have seen has always had to drill from the bottom of the bowl to the air hole to create the draft hole.
