I do believe today is the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, meaning today we have the shortest daylight of the year. Tomorrow we'll gain a few minutes of daylight headed toward June when we'll have the longest daylight of the year. I hope I have the days correct, but that's the gist of the daylight situation. I really don't care for sunset at 5 p.m., so by 7 p.m. it feels like 10 p.m. I try to get some sunshine on my skin day-to-day to beat the winter blues. Happy Solstice everyone, and happy longest daylight of the year to our Australian and New Zealand members.

I agree with it feeling late by 7 p.m. I only smoke outside so as the weather gets colder I have to use a propane heater. l'm looking forward to the warm spring evenings. Happy Solstice!

Thanks for the wishes MSO, but 30 degrees Celsius at 9pm sounds about as fun as the cold and dark short days you guys are going to have.

On a side note, I will hopefully one day have a Christmas in the Northern Hemisphere - cold weather to me seems more appropriate for feasting and drinking.

But than again what would I know about winter, coldest it gets here is maybe minus 5 Celsius and not for extended periods.

Why can’t the weather do what I want it to do!

See 17°C sounds like heaven to me for a Xmas day.

I forget that not all of the US is cold, snowy at the same time.?‍♂️

But at least this summer will be milder than the last few years..
Don’t miss the mid 30° Celsius at 9 AM crap.

Don’t tell me that sounds like heaven, please, you‘re killing me!
