To me without a doubt the Bulldog is simply gorgeous. Sadly, carvers hate doing the shape.

Have 6 of them myself, 4 are straight, 1 a quarter bent and 1 a half bent, (the latter being a Peterson XL 26).

No one has to sell bulldogs to me. Whether up-market or my beloved Dr. Grabow Royalton, it's just a major traditional well-grounded shape, good in many sizes, finishes, and brands. I'm understanding of those who don't favor bulldogs; there are some shapes that don't register for me. But bulldogs, for me, yes.
