It seems to take some time to access the newest reviews, even though they are listed on the reviews page. Not sure of the time needed for them to be accessible, but there definitely is a lag in the process. Previously, they were pretty much in real time. Perhaps they are in the midst of changing things???

Would be nice if it was due to some sort of moderation being implemented - no more "This is crap, I don't like (aro's/lat/per/whatever)", "This was blended by (X), and even though it's dog crap and toenail clippings, its another winner!", or my personal favourite, "..." (blank).

Right you are schmitzbitz. That site needs some serious cleaning-up; culling the irrelevant material.

It also needs some reorganization: a criterion or guiding principle to help readers navigate the 100's of reviews of some blends.
There are many good things about the site however, not the least of which is the advanced search facility

(tho it would benefit from a "deep search" capability).

If they did make it "new again" so to speak, and keep the simple format, none or very littly advertisers.. it would become the only website I'd be willing to pay to see. A small fee and the unserious reviews would dissappear instantly. There are some reviews that dont muster to much, but on the other hand, There is a VAST wealth of knowledge assembled there.

Chuck Stanion, from P&T, the new owners, said they are not going to charge for access to the site, and that they are not going to be heavy handed with the moderation. They will, at some point add advertising to the site. (Sounds like a good idea to me.)
I don't know how much work they will put into fixing it up with a new design, or new programming. I originally speculated that they would when I made my announcement post about it here, but Chuck also said they don't have a big budget, but it also seemed they would put some new work into it.
That is not a direct quote, but paraphrased from what I can remember him posting.
When you are buying an existing website, you are potentially buying 3 things.
1. Their audience / traffic. (TR has decent traffic, but no where near PM's level)

2. Their content. (TR has a lot)

3. Their revenue stream. (Zero at the moment)
