A phrase that has come into common use here in the UK over the last few years is "rip off Britain". We seem to have to pay more than Europe and USA for Tobacco, electrical goods, cars, food, books, video games - the list goes on. If an item is priced at, say $15 in USA we almost almost pay at least £15 despite the difference in exchange rate. People now pay for a return flight from London to New York for a long weekend shopping trip as they can save more than the air fare in cloths shopping. **sorry rant over**
No wonder the relaxing pass time of pipe smoking is growing in popularity here!
