I purchased a Lb. of D&R Three Sails, late October. I've been "Decanting" from the bag, to a quart Mason jar, in a cool place, out of the sunlight, then into a small "everyday" jar. As a former cigarette smoker, bought a Missouri Meerschaum Mini, and is now, well broken in. The Three Sails had seemed to become a lot sweeter in the last couple of months, and the Hay aroma is greatly diminished. I hope this is normal, as it has become a very nice smoke. I've not used my MM Mini for anything but this. Thoughts?

Hello and welcome, and Happy New Year! Yes, this is common, expected and typically desired. The air in the jar (while sealed) helps with a fermenting process, which, especially with virginias, gives us the aging that many blends benefit from. At least that is how i understand it. puffy
