I have been able to accumulate a meager cellar of tobacco since I began smoking last November. I have several tins and quite a few jars that are packed relatively full. However, I have a few jars that have some empty space in them. This is mostly because the larger jars were the only ones I had at the time, plus I liked the idea of a green jar for Green Dragon:col:. Would this amount of empty space in the jars pictured cause the tobacco to dry out in, say one or two years?20230811_120055.jpg

Is that also true of va/per medallions like Peter Stokkabye's?
Yeah pretty much since VA/pers are mostly Va. Va seems to change the most, and the most favorably. Burley and orientals might mellow a bit, nothing crazy. The only time I avoid headspace is long term storage of aromatics as the volatile essential oils that flavor the blend will dissipate, so I pack those to the brim when possible. But it’s not really worth sweating if I don’t have enough to fill it.
