We are having an unusually warm October here in Northern California. And inevitably I somehow find myself on vacation and out of the house on the hottest days of the year. My garage is attached and I left the door open so it shares air with my house, which I have set to 77. I’m worried though it might get 5-10 degrees more than that in the garage.

Will my precious babies, also known as my tobacco tins, be alright?

Cooler would be preferable (if you’re talking long term) but it shouldn’t be a problem. Short term definitely nothing to worry about.

people put it in such conditions because it does similar things as aging does. Wait they put it much hotter then that. Much hotter. At worse it might change the tobacco slightly but not in any way that would be called ruining it.
Though I'd be concerned about what the heat has done to your facial hair. It's even longer.

Think of the temperature and pressure gradients it we through from the factory to your garage. It will be fine.
And as others said, smoke it anyway!
