do ya ever check out the dates before ya buy? i got lucky today and picked up a tin of C&D Manhattan Afternoon AKA NY Luchtime with the date of 01/04/10 two years of aging on the store shelf think i may go back and get the other tin

You have to be careful though i have had experiences of getting some super dried out tobacco because the cigar guys open them up for other customers to smell. Make sure they are still sealed!

Keep in mind though the vacuum sealed tins with the screw on lids (like the ones Mac Baren uses) won't have aged much, if it all, over a couple of years or more if they are still factory sealed.

Nice! I always check the dates on tins. Most of the time they are relativley new but I have found some just over a year old.
