I watched this series when it was on TV, although I don't remember the Ireland one. The book the original series was based on is quite good, Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K Jerome.

Pipes crop up in lots of places in Ireland. There's a music shop in Galway that is an official Peterson vendor.

Interestingly, in two plus weeks covering a large chunk of Ireland last year the only pipe I saw being smoked was . . . by me. Very similar to here in that regard. LOL, the young woman who was so helpful at the Peterson shop I later saw outside vaping of all things, but didn't hold that against her!
