So, I just ordered 7 different aro tobaccos. I was wondering what you guys think on them.
Sultiff:

Creme Brulee

Chocolate Truffle

Vanilla Custard
Peter Stokkeybe:

Luxury Bullseye Flake

Luxury Navy Flake

Luxury Twist Flake

Balkan Supreme
Thanks for any input!

I love these, but may burn hot for a beginner. Put these aside until you have a good handle on packing, lighting, and smoking cadence.

Excellent choices for first smokes. I would advise getting two or three Missouri Meerschaum corn cob pipes to rotate while trying your new tobaccos.

I've been burning a Lane Very Cherry and Aniversario. I got the packing down pretty quickly, the lighting is just being a tad annoying.

I like Lat blends, but I also like all genres. Let's not smack each other down for what we like to smoke.

I'm looking to get started on Englishes once I can get my hands on another pipe. I think it's best to enjoy whatever is available, and, of course, to each their own! :D

I'm very excited for my journey to truly begin :) One step at a time, though. Not worth rushing into it; enjoyment must be savored.

Be prepared for PAD (pipe acquisition disorder) and TAD (tobacco acquisition disorder).

So I was told... I just got some money from an eBay sell, so I may end up buying 16oz of Aniversario since I love the damned thing.

Great choices with the Stokkebye. You really can't go wrong there. I also agree with the idea of getting some Corn Cob pipes so you can have certain pipes for certain flavor profiles. At least until the PAD kicks in and you get a 7 (or 14, or 30, etc) day rotation. lol

Actually, Latakia blends were once referred to as Aromatic blends. Score one for Duane!
I just enjoyed some Exotic Orange earlier today. I used to smoke aros and English blends exclusively. Now I smoke Virginias and Va/Pers almost exclusively. Good choices on the blends, enjoy!

Not true. There are many very nice aromatics. I'm a smoker who enjoys aros and non-aros alike. Basically whatever I'm in the mood for, and my mood changes regularly.

I got some help from some folk on those. I was too focused on taking advantage of the sales to look at others, now I know it's better to check everything out and look at what's truly good.
