Thoughts on K&P Petersons System Standard 317 Tobacco Pipe?

There is one up for grabs on ebay right now I'm thinking about.

I bought a 314 but returned it because it was too small. The 317 is an even smaller pipe. I like the size of my 302 or similarly a 303. I would shy away from the 317 but it may be decent for a quick smoke.

Too bad about that specific pipe. As far as the size/shape, I'd say it depends on what you want. If anything, my 312 is a bit big (should've gone with a 314), and while the 317-sized Wellington I have may be a bit small, it makes a great "travel" pipe, meaning it fits comfortably in a suit/sport jacket pocket and is great for clenching. It also smokes latakia flakes very well.
