Thanks for keeping me around for a year. I have truly learned a lot from my friends here at the PM forums. I truly appreciate the friendship, and the wisdom I have gained from being a part of this group. It really means a lot to me.
Along about the 5:28 mark you will see why gwtwdbss has been my screen name since I was a kid.

haha, Harris introduced me to that and it is good. I celler it but I limit McClelland in my rotation as they take forever to dry. Right now the only McClelland I have open is a 2005 tin of No. 24 Virginia.

Congrats on your year. I just hit my year too.
BTW, the Dead did a great cover to Katie Mae that I haven't heard in damn near 10-15 years. Now I've got to go try and dig it up.

Do you prefer the Mydland years?
Yes, I certainly do. Brent was one of the greats!

Thanks Jah, I will have to search for that one as well. I recall hearing that one somewhere. I would love to have some more of their bootlegs.

Chris, congrats on your first year, it has been a pleasure getting to know you and I can proudly call you a friend. You contribute a great deal to this forum and I look forward to more years of great posts.
I saw the Dead on 11/13/78 at the Music Hall in Boston. Did a hit of pyramid and what a show it was. Only time I saw them.

American Beauty is probably the third or fourth greatest album of all time, and absolutely the best ever from a jam band.

I was wondering when someone was going to post something on the Dead. I've been a deadhead since I first heard them in the late 70s. Jerry has been front and foremost in my life since then. I've been to perhaps 60 shows over the years, in CA mainly in the early 80s. That's when I was following them around the State. Used to live in a VW camper bus. Divided windshield and all. Did my undergrad at UC in Santa Cruz. So that speaks volumes. The Dead have provided the soundtrack to my adult life.

Kashmir, that is amazing. Met a girl like that once. Calls me when she is out of money. Forever was not in her vocabulary I suppose.
I get a lot more from this group than I put in. I never expected the comments I received. They were very humbling. Thanks is not enough so to break it up a bit, I will leave you with this and your morning smoke.

Chris, always enjoy your posts. I wouldn't say I'm a dead head, but I certainly like some of their stuff. Ripple is a favourite.
