Why cosmic? Because it’s skukz.

If you pressed into a dense crumble cake, you might be able to do thick slices similar to how WCC have their blends cut.

I can’t imagine a traditional flake made from 1Q holding its shape, unless you went down the track of making flake with whole leaf and using 1Q as the binding agent between the layers of leaf

Sure you can.
Just remember there is a reason blenders press blends.
It will change the flavor.
The blend will become more intense.
For instance......
Fill a pipe with 1Q.
Empty the pipe and weigh the tobacco. Then weigh out the same amount of Flake tobacco without breaking it up....and pack it in the same pipe. You will notice the pipe will be only 1/2 or less full.
So, if you fold and stuff a Flake of your new 1Q Flake, there will be double the amount of tobacco in the pipe vs ribbon 1Q.
If you are going to rub the flake out, there isn't much need to press it in the first place....in my opinion.
The 1Q has already become melded and pressing will not help much there....in my opinion.
