Bruce Weaver was a dear friend of mine who sadly passed during the summer of 2019. We enjoyed a game of annual surprise commission pipes until 2016 when I requested a very specific pipe. I wanted him to make me a pipe for Christmas and it was only early May. It had to be a blasted red egg with a red bakelite stem and an ivory band with a matching tamper and a few days later it arrived. Then began the long wait to smoke it that sparked much hilarity here during the following months that culminated in a thread that Bruce read and had a good laugh about.

I don't doubt that a bit. He was one of the happiest people I've ever met.
