Some of you may remember the article awhile back called "The Naked Dublin". For those that don't, it was a review of a pipe by Jared Cole of J & J pipes, if you haven't seen it, I strongly suggest giving it a look. Anyhow, I recently got in touch with Mr. Cole about a commission on another Dublin shaped pipe. Now, even though I haven't received the pipe yet, I must say that his prompt response time to my email an thoroughness in going over what I wanted, didn't want an so on was 5 star service. I can't wait to get my pipe an will post tons of pics as soon as it hits my doorstep but from the look of his previous work and the way he handled all my questions, I'm positive I will be more than pleased, also the price was very reasonable! If any of you are thinking about a new pipe, I strongly suggest J &J pipes!

Kevin, thanks for reposting the article. That is one great looking pipe. Now PAD sets it's eyes on a Father's Day present.

I really liked the Dublin featured in that article; and I visited the link to his website to see more of his work. Each of his pieces are distinctive, revealing a unique take on the popular shapes -- all very nicely done. I don't think a "signature style" has emerged yet, but there are traces of something personal developing -- a vision, if you will. It'll be interesting to see where he takes his craft.

Of course, I had to go look at his website; very nice work. My wife just looked over my shoulder and said "don't even think about it". God, I hope she never finds my "list".

I received a picture of the progress being made on my pipe a few days ago. I know this is a topic that has come up several times but I'm having trouble posting the picture. Could someone help me please?

Haha grizzly good luck with that! They seem to find everything we never want them to. From mothers to wives I don't think it ever ends!
