I know many of you have read my posts about whats been going on the past few weeks in my life. Well today the final verdict was put in from the insurance company. Unfortunately they are totaling the car. Theyre letting me buy back the car at a very cheap price and giving me a decent settlement. I will take the money and find one in good condition and swap out the drivetrain and will soon have my mustang back. Thanks for all your kind words, and a special thanks to few who sent me a nice present in the mail. Will be paying it forward when I can, and might have a little bit left over after all is said in done for some PAD and TAD.
As far as the ticket goes, they dropped the insurance card charge, but still hit me up for $200. Ah well. Couldve been worse. Thanks guys. I will post pics of the re-build for all the gear heads on here.

I'm glad that it went better than you thought. You get to build it yourself! That in itself could be pretty cool.

Glad to hear it's not as bad as it could be. If you get enough back on the Mustang and would part out the rest, I would skip another one and go for a newer GTO. They're ugly but they go like stink and are a blast in the corners.

Sounds good man and don't forget, in a few days you are going to be standing in the most incredible tobacco shop in the world and even though you might not be able to clean them out, you will still have an amazing experience

Glad to hear Hawk. Maybe not a perfect resolution, but good you're looking on the bright side. Look forward to seeing your photos. :puffy:

Good news hawk, as was said before at least you walked away from the crash. Pics of the new build will be cool.

I love this Forum. There are so many friends here. Life is all about relationships. That's what it is all about. I am glad you reached a settlement that you can work with by buying back the salvage. Remember, I am an Independent Insurance Agent for 41 years. So, if you guys have an insurance question, I'll try to answer it. Agents are licensed by State. I am in Wisconsin. If your question is from other States, I'll provide the best answer I can if it involes regulation. So, you all have an insurance friend here, with straight answers, if you need them. But, I recommend that you have a relationship with your insurance agent. Trust him and confide in him. In most cases (especially if he is an Independent Agent), he will be in your court! If you prefer to keep your question confidential, just PM me.

photoman13,
Yes, that is correct. I also have other avocations. I founded a company that builds flight simulators. The RC-1 (my initials) can be found at this address: https://www.flyelite.com/faa-certified/advanced-atd/rc-1/

and I am also a Hammond Organist. Although, I no longer play Professionally, I still play the organ for my own enjoyment and those around me. I did a lot of work for the Hammond Organ Company Dealers from 1974 to 1988 before retiring from "playing-out". I also do have a very ardent interest in Astronomy, as well, and enjoy observing the "Universe". I encourage you to do the same. Because, when you "look-out" you also look "within". Thank you for your kind words. I am now praying for an early Winter because I live to ski "downhill" and have been skiing since age eight. So, do me a favor and pray for snow, please.

I just could not resist this temptation to show you a picture of my den containing the RC-1 flight simulator and my crazy notion to put on the "leather with goggles"... the basis of Captain Bob's Blend artwork!
