I left the stem in the pipe.Put a cleaner in the stem.Held the stem about an inch above a candle flame for about fifteen seconds.Turned it over for another fifteen seconds.Straightened the stem a bit.Held it under some running water to cool it.It worked great.Of course you can't handle the hot stem with your bare hands.The whole process only took about a minute.Thanks to those of you here who suggested it.I'm sure there are other ways to do this but this one actually was kinda easy for me.I'm still learning after all these years..Thanks Again.

It's not as quick,but a hair dryer will work. Also not as risky,it's easy to burn or melt a stem with a candle if ya get to close for too long.
