I happily pay extra for Coca Cola made with cane sugar. I was pleased to learn how cane is planted, by putting stalks end to end along the rows so the sprouts come out of the stalks in a row. Looks like a fine crop, despite the hurricanes.

Man's gotta make a living. You could buy Mexican coke. That stuff is great tasting and contains whatever sugar they used to use.

That's it, Mexican Coke. Unfortunately, our closest bodega went belly up, so we have to rely on sources further away. It's also better because it comes in glass bottles. Coke is a special treat; we don't keep it on hand. We also buy cane sugar at the Mexican grocery (still open) that isn't bleached. The less processed the better.

Mso, check your local Mexican grocery store for Coke as well, the ones in my area carry Mexican Coke as a regular item.
