The Skids! (Jeep Plates)

Spent about an hour this morning changing out the stock protection for some aftermarket 3/16" steel plates.

Transfer case skid plate:



Transmission and oil pan skid plate:




I used and abused the stock stuff for years and it took it well so I thought the new plates might not be entirely necessary but I also plan on harder/more technical trails with the new lift kit. After getting these in I must say they're pretty dang nice so I'll be tackling new trails with more confidence.

Fun! No real talent here but enjoyed finally getting the half doors on my JL a couple of weeks ago and (according to their estimates) will get to spend about 4 hours this weekend getting my just arrived Bestop soft top installed. Nothing too challenging, but I enjoy it.

All well and good but how does it do stoving your tobacco?

Still running the original top, 23 years later. I've alternated with the hard top, which has kept the soft top viable.
