I often overlook the smokingpipes blog, but I'm missing out, I need to read it more often.
Just noticed this great interview with the guy behind Doctor's Pipes and was fascinated by his blasting technique, he sometimes does something I guess you could call an aquablast?

Anyway,
it's so cool that the innovations in blasting continues, there are now quite a few different makers with their own distinct signature blast style.
But, you gotta pay rightful dues to grandaddy Alfred too of course,
