Your tobacco is too moist; you're packing it too tightly; you're lighting-up too aggressively; and you're puffing like a freight train.
I missed one: fresh out of the press.

That looks awesome. There are others doing something very similar with a noodle press purchased on Amazon for 20 bones. I’ll share the thread with y’all here: Home Tobacco Press. These lil, inexpensive gadgets do an amazing job at making a plug, I’m smoking one now that a member made from Elizabethan Match and I had to slice flakes off the plug as I just couldn’t get it to crumble.

Although, your plug looks pretty damn awesome man. Are you using full leaf or are you layering it with ribbon? The noodle press is great cause you can do smaller batches. My first plug is going to be GH Dark Birds Eye and I might add a hint of rose water. I just haven’t had time lately to fiddle with one but I’m gonna change that soon. I’ve got some Amazon points that need some using.

My friend... I am all over it:

I will love to make a smaller plug.
The tobacco I used was from wholeaf:

They even have some organic tobacco that I used. I freakin' love it. I plan on rolling some stogies too.
