I may have committed sacrilege when I made this. It is made of all the tobacco i did not care for at The time. And now I find it to be a enjoyable smoke. it is made of the following
2 pouch's Altadis Cherry

1 pouch of Altadis Fox & Hound

1 tin Haunted bookshop

1 pouch Prince Albert

1 pouch Chater Hall

1 pouch Half & Half
Let it sit for a year in a glass Mason jar and fear it. Then open it and see if you like it, :puffy:

That is really interesting. A great list of "don't care for" tobaccos...do 6 wrongs make a right? Since I don't have any of these, I can't take part in the year long experiment, but I'm glad you have found a use for these tobaccos. Interesting....

It could turn out to be a good smoke. Just tumble it thoroughly and let it set up. I did just that with a 12 pack sampler of McClelland's coffee, cocoa, caramel, pastry, nut tobacco's and now I have a large mason jar filled with a delicious aro blend.

every time i crack it for a smoke it is an adventure, will it be a blend that i enjoy, or will it be crap...

I, too, have a jar of odds and ends. Do I ever smoke it? HECK no! Time will not make garbage any better.
But I keep the jar on the fireplace mantle and will occasionally toss a handful onto the fire. My next door neighbor once asked, "what kind of wood are you burning? It smells GREAT!"

Some friendly advice from a Senior Member to a Junior Member...

One man's garbage is another's treasure. I would refrain from tossing your blend. You might surprise yourself and enjoy it some day.

mjt, this stuff is VERY dried out and most of it is VERY poor quality leaf so I couldn't in good conscience give it away.
And though I'm a "junior member" of this fine forum, I've been smoking a pipe for 23 years; long enough to know that NO amount of time will make bad tobacco into good.

I bought some of all the blends Outwest Tobacco has in their house section. They all pretty much tasted the same, with subtle differences in "spice". They eventually got tossed into a mason jar, rolled around to mix, and I take a bowl full about 1 time a month for grins. It ain't that bad, really.

Your blend has a lot of burley in it. I am betting it will tone down whatever it was you didn't like about the other blends.
Unless, of course, you don't like burleys.

In that case, you're screwed. :laughat:

Well 9 months later and I added 2 pouches of dried out Sir Walter Riley some Bargain blend. I smoked a few bowels today not bad the mix is coming along nicely. But now I have 3 1qt Mason Jars of the stuff.

Thanks for the update! I haven't done anything like this but I'm starting to think I should make a Best of the Rest Jar for those ends of tins and jars and see what comes of it!

I started an odds & ends jar last year. Don't remember what's in it but there must be at least 12 different blends with more to come. It smells pretty good considering the stuff I've throwm in it. I'll keep it going for a while then bring it to the B&M for a "tasting".
