Hello everyone.

A seller in my countey claims that the body of this pipe is made from animal horn. How can i differentiare or confirm whether it is a horn?

By the way i have never seen such kind of a curvy pipe made from horn . is it possible to shape it like a calabash?

Thank you for your help ....

Horn has been used for Calabash pipes as seen here. But, the shape at the end of the shank where the stem meets doesn't follow the natural shape/curve of an animal horn typically used for tools—i.e., horns used for gunpowder taper to a point.
